Minnesota Simulation for Healthcare Education Partnerships

Since 2000, the Minnesota Simulation for Healthcare Education Partnerships (MnSHEP) brought together simulation educators and healthcare professionals from across Minnesota to share ideas, strengthen simulation-based education, and support one another.

For more than two decades, MnSHEP connected educators and healthcare partners, welcomed nationally and internationally recognized leaders in simulation, and created a culture of sharing. Educators saved countless hours by sharing scenarios, resources, and expertise.

Passing the Baton

HealthForce Minnesota took on the organization and support of MnSHEP and worked with its advisory board to keep the community connected and growing.

In 2025, we handed the baton to the Minnesota Simulation Consortium, a new statewide community of simulation educators and healthcare professionals.

The Consortium carries forward the spirit of collaboration and shared learning that made MnSHEP valuable to Minnesota's simulation community.

The Minnesota Simulation Consortium uses the free Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) platform to connect members, share resources, and communicate.

Once you are logged in, select “Special Interest Groups, Affinity Groups, and Sections” from the left-hand menu. Search for “Minnesota Simulation Consortium Regional Group” and select Save.

A Look Back

From hosting internationally recognized simulation leaders such as Dr. Pamela Jeffries to organizing simulation tours and sharing scenarios, resources, and moulage recipes, MnSHEP created countless opportunities for Minnesota's simulation community to learn from one another.

We are grateful to the many educators, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and advisory board members who gave their time and expertise to MnSHEP over the years. Your willingness to share, collaborate, and support one another is what made this community valuable.

HealthForce Minnesota is proud to have been part of that history, and we are pleased to pass the baton to the Minnesota Simulation Consortium.
