HealthForce Minnesota explores and develops new collaborative models that integrate health science education and practice, and have the potential for sustainability. One of the strategies we employ is providing grant opportunities. The organization uses grants much like venture capital, with a long-term goal that HealthForce share in the return on investment.
Information for Grant seekers:
HealthForce Minnesota (formerly CIHSEP) is a collaborative partnership of education, industry and community that was created to transform health care education and delivery.
Each year, HealthForce Minnesota provides between $500,000–$750,000 of grant funding, with grants ranging from $50,000–$100,000. Focus areas are described in detail on the RFP document.
Over the past three years, we have supported dozens of projects that test new and innovative ways of improving healthcare practice, education, and research. Projects are funded for a year at a time with project years running from July–June.
The funding cycle begins with a request for proposals that is released early in the calendar year. Applicant decisions will be made by April 2008. The RFP will give more specific information about any highlighted focus within our general grant guidelines. All projects must include one of HealthForce Minnesota's partners:
