HealthForce Minnesota explores and develops new collaborative models that integrate health science education and practice, and have the potential for sustainability. One of the strategies we employ is providing grant opportunities. The organization uses grants much like venture capital, with a long-term goal that HealthForce share in the return on investment.

Information for Grant Seekers:

HealthForce Minnesota is a collaborative partnership of education, industry and community that was created to transform health care education and delivery.

Applicant decisions for fiscal year 2010 were be made in January 2010. For fiscal year 2010, HealthForce Minnesota provided more than $320,000 of grant funding. Over the past five years, we have supported dozens of projects that test new and innovative ways of improving healthcare practice, education, and research. Projects funded in FY10 will run from January — December 2010.

The funding cycle begins with a request for proposals. The RFP gives more specific information about any highlighted focus within our general grant guidelines. All projects must include one of HealthForce Minnesota's partners:

Regional Incentive Grants

HealthForce Minnesota announces a new opportunity through Regional Incentive Grants for communities and organizations to initiate or enhance basic planning, research and data collection of healthcare concerns. Up to four grants of $12,000 will be awarded each year with no submission deadlines. This fiscal year Regional Incentive Grants were available through June 1, 2009.
