HealthForce MN launches redesigned website

March 20, 2017, Saint Paul, MN  HealthForce Minnesota has launched a new website designed to help diverse users instantly access the information they need — from their whatever platform (computer, phone or tablet) they choose.

One of Minnesota State’s eight Centers of Excellence, HealthForce Minnesota has a mission to build Minnesota’s healthcare workforce through education and industry partnerships. The newly launched website provides customized navigation for students, educators and industry — as well as overviews and updates on major initiatives.  

“There was an extraordinary amount of information on our old site but the navigation made it hard to locate,” says Valerie DeFor, Executive Director of HealthForce Minnesota. “Our new site makes it easier to understand what we’re doing and why, access the resources we’ve developed, and track our progress on our major initiatives.

Students and families can now:

  • Explore a variety of day and overnight healthcare career camp options
  • Pick the camp that fits their needs and summer schedules— and then register and apply for scholarships online.
  • Investigate career options and educational paths to qualify for those jobs

Educators how have customized tools for navigating through K-12 and college resources.

K-12 Educators can access:

  • HFM’s Healthcare Core Curriculum
  • Resources for launching health science programs in their schools
  • Tools designed to help students explore healthcare career options

College and workforce educators can access:

  • HFM’s Healthcare Core Curriculum
  • Accreditation information and support
  • Diversity, Mental health, Nursing and Older Adult Curriculum
  • Simulation resources

Industry Partners as well as State Agencies & Legislators can find 

  • Overviews and updates on all major initiatives
