MHQP Survey Courses
Connect with monthly Webinar seminars hosted by Minnesota Healthcare Quality Professionals.
Join MHQP and HealthForce Minnesota at the monthly "quality in the trenches" brownbag education sessions. The objective of these sessions is to provide a healthcare quality "survey course" using selected materials from the National Association of Healthcare Quality (NAHQ)’s Certificated Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preparation materials. The basic CPHQ framework is augmented by "local flavoring" and experience. The intended audience are both healthcare quality professionals who want a re-grounding in the breadth of their profession, and clinicians who want to learn more to become champions of change. We especially want to reach out to healthcare professionals in rural/outstate Minnesota who don’t get many quality education opportunities.
Following is the forecast of topics that will be addressed at noon on the days indicated.
(Those Webinars that have a PowerPoint or Acrobat Reader icon to the right of the topic have slides available for download—click on the icon to download.)
2013 - third Thursday of the month, 12:00-1:00 pm |
Through HealthForce Minnesota’s charter, we are using Winona State’s web continuing education technology…a voice over internet protocol “room.”
If the "room" is not open when you visit, try back later. When you do join a Thursday session, sign on with your name and organization name.
Following are the instructions for accessing the room. (Save the site in your favorites.)
Test Your Connection: If this is the first time you are attending an online session, test your browser to make sure that you can access the meeting. To run the test, use your Web browser on the same machine and from the same location from which you will be attending the actual meeting to navigate to https://breeze5.metnet.edu/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm. The test will run automatically and will inform you of any problems.
Access the Session: To access the online session, use your favorite Web browser to navigate to https://umconnect.umn.edu/hcq. Login to the session as a guest by entering your name into the Enter as a guest field and selecting the Enter Room button. (If the link doesn’t work by clicking on it, cut-and-paste it into the address line.
Questions? If you have any trouble with either the test or room access, please contact us via e-mail at tlt@winona.edu or by phone at (507-457-2900).
